Florence was the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance. Is considered an artistic treasure, because of the legacy that it contains. Florence was a political, economic and cultural power and one of the most important cities in Europe for around 250 years; from some times before 1300 until the early 1500s. Nevertheless, the jewel of Renaissance Italy remains essentially what it was: a busy business center, and the epicenter of the Italian modern art with some unforgettable masterpiece such as Michelangelo’s David or Medici’s Gallery.

The apartment is more or less as appears in the pictures. Since the only window faces the bottom of a lightwell, you need electrical light at all times. The location is prime, and the size perfect for singles or a couple. We travelled with one 1-year-old, and that was ok too, but felt a bit cramped at times.
I had two major problems with this apartment. Firstly, the man who came to give us the key obviously knew nothing about the place. He did not even know which key went where, or behind which door the apartment was. He also spoke very little English, so we couldn't ask him anything. As a result, it took until the next day before we found the water heater and figured out how to turn it on. Secondly, the place was quite dirty as we arrived. I had to wash up every single thing in the kitchen to feel comfortable using it. The bath and toilet had been sanitized, though, and linens and towels were clean.
All in all we were quite satisfied with our stay in this apartment, and would definitely recommend it to someone who wants to be in the middle of things, but doesn't plan to spend all that much time "at home".
Apartment very nice and very well equipped. Small flat, the area is very noisy: installation of the first merchants at 6 am and uninstall h00 to 21 h 00, then passing cleaning machines up to 22 h 00. Fortunately the windows are insulated and air conditioning works well. Hosting Stephano (the owner) is very friendly. A very pleasant stay!
