Reviews of this property
also important to know, the walking distances in the add are incorrect. We walked to brick lane almost two times a day and it's definitely not ten minutes, half an hour is closer.... The tv on our room didn't work, so free tv is a bit overrated. Also the Wifi didn't work the first hour, but then we tried again and we got access. So keep trying! Happy that we only booked for two nights. Not a lot of good things to say. Oh also a hint, they are reconstructing all the buildings in the street. So don't search for the picture in the mail you wouldn't recognize it. It's really difficult to find en when you reach it and enter the building you will think: where the hell am I?
The room is not that great.
We will start with a big plus: the overall location, it's close to the center and easy to reach. But it looks like it's a bit in a dodgy neighbourhood. I wouldn't like to walk alone to my room at night. The breakfast is just some cereal and instant coffee, but that's oke because we eat breakfast in the city. The only really bad part of the stay was the bed, we never slept in such a bad bed, pain everywhere after waking up. Oh and we couldn't lock the bathroom, the lock was broken or non existing.
As always Mr. Kassam is a great property manager. No way in the area is one of the best. Always clean spaces, no problems with equipment or other matters.
I'll book him other times
The flat was clean and well furnished, with TV in the room and the kitchen. The kitchen was good, with plenty pans and a microwave, etc., all one needed.
However the key for the front door wasn't well cut, and needed much fiddling before it finally admitted you. I did not meet Kaz the host, at any time over the 3 day stay, though clearly somebody came into the flat, and emptied the rubbish bin in the kitchen. Soon after I arrived, I realised there was no hot water, nor central heating- not so good in late November. Kaz did not reply to a phone call, nor to a text message.I had to phone "support", who also could not contact him. There was a flashing red light on the central heating boiler, suggestive of a malfunction. When I returned to the flat later in the evening the place was warm, and so was the water. But no word from Kaz, so not impressed by him. The flat was nice however, and quiet, away from a busy road, so I would be happy to return.I was pleased with the support I was given, but reckon Kaz should reimburse my phone costs, wake up and do the job he is paid for.
The apartment was pretty good. The room was huge like on the photos, the kitchen full equipped with a huge variety of cereals, etc. It is just some tiny aspects that have to be critizised. In the bathroom there wasn't a mat so that the room was flooded and a bin would be useful. Apart from that I would recommend this place, it is well linked to the transport system (tubes, buses).
Take care the host provides you with a pin in order to enter, otherwise you cannot get inside. This worked really well in my case but other told me that the host forgot to send them the pin and they were waiting outside for other guests to open the door.
I am normally happy with the rooms but this time the wardrobe was dirty! Had dust all over the top and inside of the wardrobe. Other than that, is a really good apartment.
We had four days at the apartment. At once is to say that the location is really top. The East End with the alternative district is just around the corner. There is a big market, street art and beautiful little shops next to massive Indian restaurants. The Tower Bridge can also be reached on foot. In downtown you're with the underground in about 15 minutes. Stations are located at about 5-7 min. Walk. Since we were only there to sleep here often, really absolute top location for the price! The room was ok. The city noise did not penetrate through the windows and we could sleep well. It has to be shared with three other rooms, a bathroom. But this did not cause any problems, since you often do not often encounter each other, because all throughout the day are on the road anyway. A kitchen for common use is available as well. A few minuses there, as the area from the outside once verschreckend acts. Among other things, because the facade is surrounded by a frame, which, however, suggesting that here something done and the house is being renovated. In addition, the key technology is not easy and we had to come at the very beginning problems in the apartment. This was similar to our roommates. In summary, the apartment for people is recommended with normal requirements, who mostly come to London to take in the city on itself. Truly a great starting position for this price!
Lovely home inside, comfy and clean. Lots of room. Extras were a nice touch. The linen was soft and smelt nice.
I had a problem getting in a few times because people kept locking from the inside in the evenings but rang the bell and all was fine.
The outside of the property is being renovated but no workmen luckily.
Outside of the front door, the hallway and outside could do with some spring cleaning, i can see this is the neighbours fault but otherwise i enjoyed my stay.
