Reviews of this property
I was with ma wife for one night in Lisbon. We had have a wonderful time there. Antonio was a very friendly man and everything was very good and room was very clean and the bathrooms, too. Maybe we will come again. Lisbon is a wonderful city
with friendly people.
Antonio is a very kind and helpful host.
The two bathrooms are freshly renovated and always very clean, like the other rooms. In the kitchen with view over the Tejo you'll find everything you need to prepare your meals.
It was a wonderful and relaxed stay in a central location in Lisbon and I would always come over again.
Stayed with Antonio in the beginning of the year. Such a good host, totally recommended.
The room was clean and good. We shared toilet and kitchen and it was clean.
The owner of the apartment, Antonio, was helpfull and sympathic.
The price of the apartment was cheap.
We really enjoyed our stay at Antónios accomodation! He was very friendly, as well as all the other guests. The house is very charming and just a footwalk away from the tram, bus and even the regional train going to the beach. The chambers, the kitchen and the bathroom are very clean and I felt more comfortable than in a luxury hotel. That was absolutely outstanding.
If you wanted you could also enjoy the beautiful river view from the balkony and one of the rooms.
Thank you António and see you again.

The room was very nice and clean. The house was close to the E28 tram and bus lines. I can recommend this room to everyone.
The guesthouse is located in an average area of the city, in a rural street, but since the rooms have good double glass windows, no traffic noise disturbs your good night rest. The tram 25 has a stop on a few steps from the guest house, but the tram has no service in the weekends. Still we used it during weekdays, and it takes you rigth down to the streets of Baixa, for a good city visit. It also stops close to the market halls, always worth a visit. António, who owns the guest house, does make a lot of efforts to keep his guests satisfied. He is assisted by his mother, Edith, and she was waiting for us on our arrival to let us in to the building, which has 6 door bells downstairs, and if you come unexpected, ring no 1 floor bell. The rooms are spacious enough, have comfortable beds, not (too) soft, and television is present, bu we never used that. We did use the WiFi, and that worked real fine. Access code is in the rooms. Some minor details are missing, like towel hooks, but we informed António and he said to fix that upcoming. Two bathrooms next to each other on a few steps from your room. Always clean, you get fresh towels on first request, and maybe of great importance: the showers function real fine, which is not common in Portugal. It seemed to us, that as soon as the bathrooms were used, someone came to do a quick cleaning, so it appeared unused for the next guest. We never had to wait to use a bathroom. Mind you, the toilet is in the bathroom, so no seperate toilet rooms. A few permanent residents also live in the house, but they seem to be never present, or just at overnight stay. The kitchen is prety old fashioned, but the warm water system is brand new so that is why there is always sufficient hot water, also for the showers. Two refrigirators are available, one for the 3 guest rooms, which give you plenty of space for your own white wine, cheese beers or whatever. Kitchen materials available, including microwave, stove, but you have to do dish cleaning yourself. The kitchen offers a lovely view over the river, and it is good breakfast ( of your own bought stuff ) at the large table. Down the street there is a very small super market, run by a man from Nepal, and he sells fresh bread in the morning, jam, cheese, ham, saucages, vegetables, spring water, wines etc, but mind you, that supermarket has higher prices than regular, but it is very close by, just out of the guest house down the street for 150 meters, and just before the corner there it is. We found that very comfortable for our daily fresh breakfast to make ourselves. Several small pastelarias are around to have a good coffee ( one just next to the supermarket has good "abatanado" which is a regular "large" coffee. Also fine restaurants are nearby, especially close to the French Embassy. That is down the street, turn right, at next corner turn left, and ahead 250 meters. You then have passed several others, like Batata Doce, Santos da Lapa, and some more, but in my opinion, always look at rest "o arègos" first to see if they are open. To come to a conclusion: If you want good value for money, this guest house is real fine. It is located on the first floor of a large house, and there is no elevator. Comfort is good, but you must pass the corridors to get to the bathroom. Your own room does have a wash bin. It is very clean, and everything functions, like door locks, even when things are old. The bathrooms were pretty new, good solid shower, good hot water. What more do you need for a few days visit to the lovely city of Lisbon. If you want to travel through the city, consider buying a days ticket at any metro station ( also at the airport ) . You buy the card for 6 euro plus card costs is 50 cents. Then you can go as you please for 24 hours, and afterwards have the card upgraded for 6 euro to again use public transport for 24 hours. Trams ( also famous line 28 ) buses, metro and elevators. We thank António and Edith for a pleasant stay. Well done !
Very good quality / price ratio !!
antonio is very friendly, welcoming, he struggles to find solutions when trams were on strike. housing is very clean and ideal for a short stay. The sea view is top against by the street is noisy because the tram passes. Very good spot to lisbon: 5 minutes by tram from the center.
Antonio thank you
Tres bon rapport qualite/prix!!
