The room is at the top of the house, with a panoramic view of the hillside, majestic trees, and Boston Harbor. It is fully furnished; the shared kitchen is fully equipped; rent includes WI-FI, utilities, laundry facilities, easy on street parking. Bathrooms (three of them) and common areas (two living rooms, big balcony, eat-in kitchen, front and back yards and deck with grille) are shared. Ocean views from most windows, ocean breezes, high ceilings and wood floors, crown mouldings, carved fireplaces, and custom Victorian decor distinguish this charming home. People have compared it to the Weazely's house in Harry Potter--something fascinating around every corner, with books, games, and artwork left behind by the world travelers, artists, engineers and medical people who have lived here. The house combines the homey comfort of a vintage farm house (it was a wedding present from the farmer who owned the hill to his daughter, in 1880, and still has the farmhouse-style kitchen) with the elegance of art nouveau-style decor in the bedrooms and shared areas--paintings, elegant carved fireplaces, colored glass and bay windows, and more. It was built at a time when architects wanted to celebrate local resources such as fine-grained varieties of wood, abundant light, and flexible uses of space and whimsical exterior color. There are inspiring views of the harbor islands and the city skyline and of huge leafy trees; large balconies to relax on with Breughel-like views of historic houses marching down to the bay; you can watch sailboats floating on the harbor in the distance or see the city lights blinking on at night, or just watch the blue jays and cardinals play nearby in the giant trees.
We have more than one room available, so we can usually accomodate a group in the main part of the house, with ample facilities for you to cook and eat together in the shared kitchen. There is also a separate apartment available; it is more modern in decor, with a private kitchen, entrance, bathroom, sitting room, and deck, suitable for one or two people. Your host, Jessica, is a therapist and musician who speaks several languages (Italian, French and English) and has a good understanding of some others (including Spanish). She grew up in Italy and Africa, has traveled a lot, and is happy to share ideas on fun things to see and do in Boston. The alternate phone number listed, viewable if you decide to book the room, is for my assistant Michael; he will let you in if I am away
No smoking inside or behind the house; smoking area in front yard only. No pets.
No electronic noise in bedrooms, other than alarm clocks. Food must be kept in refrigerators or closed hard plastic containers (we will provide them).
Be considerate of other guests--quiet when near bedrooms, for example.

We had a great time at Jessica's place. It's a lovely old house located a 10 minutes walk from the Red Line, with another 10 minutes ride to get to Downtown Crossing. Jessica sent us detailed information in advance how to get to her place and gave us a warm welcome.
There is a quite good Indian restaurant nearby and a RiteAid, but I didn't notice other places for grocery shopping in the area.
We very much enjoyed our stay at this place and would love to come back if we are in Boston again.
very nice room with everything we needed. From the bed you can look over houses to the sea. We roused by the sunshine in the morning.:)
Jessiaca was a very nice host. She help us with every question and had good tips for the city.
We stayed two nights in this characteristic old Townhouse in a lovely and tidy room.
Jessica was a charming host, it even was a pleasure to listen to her singing and playing guitar.
The house is very nice and the room is comfortable. It is quite close to the T line and the neighborhood is very quiet. Jessica is a great host, always available and helpful, she also speaks a good italian.
We had a great stay with Jessica in a nice and welcoming room. You can go to Boston City by subway in about 15 minutes. The neighborhood is nice and there are shops and restaurants near by.
I have had a great time in Boston and in Jessica's house. My room was comfortable and I have had a wonderful view on the city. In the morning I could drink my coffee on the big terrace. Jessica is very nice and helpful.
The house is placed close to the metro (just a few stations to the centre of Boston) and to a little beach.
I would prefer to stay at Jessica's when I come to Boston again.
Fantástic¡! jessica is so charming....i felt like being at Home¡! I would repeat again¡! Thanks jessica for your help¡ i hope to see You again
Jessicas house really is charming and lovely. It's clean, nicely decorated and there is a well-equipped kitchen. The room we were in was large and comfortable. The bed is actually for two people and not three, but a matrass was brought into the room for us. It's about a ten minute walk to the metro station. I would definitely recommend staying there.
